Plagiarism Policy

The Educational Journal of Learning Technology Editorial Team recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and, therefore, established the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) when plagiarism is identified in articles submitted for publication in the Educational Journal of Learning Technology.

Definition:
Plagiarism is an act of intentionally or unintentionally obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or value for a scientific work by quoting part or all of another party's work and/or scientific work, which is recognized as a scientific work, without stating the source accurately and adequately.

For that, then:
Articles must be original, not previously published, and not pending publication elsewhere. Material taken orally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it is different from the original text. If plagiarism is found, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve action according to the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:

Articles submitted to the Educational Journal of Learning Technology will be checked for plagiarism levels using Turnitin detection software (www.turnitin.com).

Plagiarism Rate

Plagiarize several short sentences from other articles without citing the source. Action: The author is given a warning and a request to change the text and cite it properly.
Plagiarizing large portions of other articles without proper citations and not citing the sources. Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in the Educational Journal of Learning Technology. Authors may be subject to sanctions because they are not allowed to publish in the Educational Journal of Learning Technology.
All article authors are responsible for the content of the articles they submit to the Educational Journal of Learning Technology. If an article is classified as plagiarized, then all authors will be subject to the same action.
For example, the author is proven to have sent a manuscript to the Journal of Educational Journal of Learning Technology at the same time as sending it to another journal, and this overlap is discovered during the review process or after publication. In this case, action will be taken according to point 2 above.
If plagiarism is found outside of the provisions above, the editorial team of the Educational Journal of Learning Technology has the right to impose sanctions according to the editorial team's policy.
